New York’s Collective Design, an innovative fair that presents a curated selection of 20th-century and contemporary design, has released a handful of details about its 2015 edition. The upcoming fair will take place at a new location, Skylight Clarkson Square, from May 13 through May 17. Located in Manhattan’s design-forward SoHo neighborhood, Skylight boasts 60,000-square-feet of raw event space. The 2014 edition of Collective Design was held at Moynihan Station in Midtown.

Fair organizers have also announced a portion of the exhibitor line-up, which features a global roster of emerging and established galleries. New additions include DE VERA (New York), Dimore Gallery (Milan), Etage Projects (Copenhagen), Galerie Gosserez (Paris), BAC (New York), and Glass Past (New York), while Patrick Parrish (New York) and Kinder Modern (New York) will make encore appearances. The complete exhibitor list will be released early next year.

Collective Focus, a section of the fair dedicated to a specific design topic, will be helmed by W magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Stefano Tonchi. Tonchi will work with exhibitors to create a curated display based on the lasting impact and significance of Italian design. According to artnet News, Tonchi said that the program "allows for a far-ranging exploration of the strength, beauty, and extraordinary impact of Italian design on practitioners across the world."

Launched in May 2013 by the architect and interior designer Steven Learner, Collective Design was conceived by a passionate group of designers, curators, collectors, and gallerists who recognized a need for a new commercial and educational platform for design enthusiasts. In addition to this core ensemble, which includes the architect Alexander Gorlin, collector Beth Rudin DeWoody, dealer Todd Merrill, and Cooper-Hewitt Director Caroline Baumann, Collective Design is guided by the Design Council -- a group of highly influential figures in the creative community. Members of the Design Council include Jonathan Adler, Muriel Brandolini, Robert Couturier, Jamie Drake, Robert Stilin, Madeline Weinrib, Alan Wanzenberg, Steven Volpe, and Steven Gambrel.
