Paris | Vetted Show Galleries
Founded in 1982 and initially dedicated to Modern Art, DUMONTEIL now focuses since 2021 exclusively on Contemporary Art and limited edition Contemporary Design.
Its activity is based around two distinct entities, DUMONTEIL Contemporary and DUMONTEIL Design, which share three exhibition spaces. Two are in Paris, at 8 rue d'Aboukir, 75002, and 38 rue de l'Université, 75007, while the third one is in Shanghai, at 199 Hengshan Road.
The gallery organises over twenty solo exhibitions a year. The gallery's aim is to support artists and Estates d'Artiste in the development of their most ambitious projects and to promote them on the national and international scene. This is done in the gallery's various exhibition spaces, outside the walls in collaboration with public and private institutions, and at fairs such as WestBund Art & Design, Art 021, Art Paris, Asia Now, etc.
Going beyond its commercial ambitions, Galerie Dumonteil has always extended its influence by becoming involved in a variety of cultural sectors, providing its clients with the best possible advice on building up their collections, lending works to museum exhibitions and contributing to leading publications.
The gallery was created by Dothi and Pierre DUMONTEIL, and Dorian DUMONTEIL has been responsible for its future since 2021.
Galerie Dumonteil is also a member of the Professional Committee of the CPGA Art Galleries and of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts CNE.
