JK Art & Design Projects
Founded by Kate Vogel and Jeff Lincoln, JK Art & Design Projects weaves together past and present seminal voices in art and design with the mission of highlighting multidisciplinary practices that resist categorization. The gallery serves as a platform — and a cultural hub and a springboard for creative exchange.— for experimentation, craftsmanship, and evolution in the field. Through exhibitions, workshops, installations, and community-driven programming, this project aims to shed light on the East End’s enduring legacy in shaping contemporary art and design discourse.

Jeff Lincoln is an acclaimed interior designer and curator whose projects seek engagement with the shifting dialogue between contemporary art, craft, and design. A third-generation interior designer, he holds a master’s degree from Columbia Journalism School and began his career as a political reporter at The Wall Street Journal which helped shape his analytical approach to design and singular appreciation for storytelling.
The Jeff Lincoln Art + Design gallery was established in 2016 as a platform to champion the understanding of art and design as inseparable. Highlighting masters in the field alongside leading emerging voices, the gallery’s programming has included Wendell Castle, Joris Laarman, David Wiseman, Katie Stout, Shiro Kuramata, Andrea Branzi, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, Joaquim Tenreiro, John Chamberlain, Richard Prince and Christopher Wool.
Lincoln serves on the board of the Spector Craft Prize, reflecting his ongoing engagement with supporting and shaping the field of contemporary craft.
Katherine Vogel is a design and visual arts professional whose career for 13 years has been defined by advancing public engagement with the creative arts through pioneering exhibitions and international institutional shows. Raised in Sag Harbor, her early appreciation for materiality, craftsmanship, and design was shaped by her father, Speed Vogel, a metal artist and pioneer in the textile industry.
Vogel previously served as Director at Friedman Benda, where she worked closely with leading artists and designers to realize landmark exhibitions and international institutional presentations, expanding the gallery’s global reach and public engagement. She played a central role in the gallery’s strategic growth and founded its Los Angeles location in 2021, further extending its international presence.
She began her career in the arts as Director of Gallery Valentine in East Hampton, NY, specializing in postwar and contemporary masters, working with artists including Willem de Kooning, Yayoi Kusama, Helen Frankenthaler, Robert Motherwell, Louise Nevelson, and Sam Francis.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History from Barnard College and pursued additional training in finance at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to her work at the intersection of art, design, and the market.
