Apartment in Madrid
Interior Design Project in Madrid Published by AD Spain
Discover our latest interior design project in Madrid, featured in AD Spain, with stunning photographs by Belén Imaz. This renovation transformed a 1942 home in the heart of Madrid, originally divided into three bedrooms, a living room, bathroom, and kitchen, into a modern and cohesive space that blends historic charm with contemporary design.
The new layout is centered around two distinct zones: private and public spaces, creating a fluid and open floor plan. This approach enhances the sense of space, light, and functionality, while preserving key historic elements such as arches and chapiters in the living room and bedroom. Maintaining the original ceiling height allowed us to integrate visible industrial-style ducts, seamlessly merging the past with the present.
The interior design highlights a beautiful contrast between minimalism in the public spaces, where white walls and clean flooring provide the perfect canvas for contemporary art, and maximalism in the private areas, brought to life by bold carpet patterns designed by our team.
A significant detail about this project is that the vast majority of the furniture was sourced from LA Studio. Our curated selection includes bespoke pieces crafted in-house, such as the Mongolian goat fur armchair, the dining bench, and the dining table, all available in our catalogue. These unique creations are complemented by iconic 20th-century designs like the Red and Blue Chair and Zigzag Chair by Gerrit Rietveld (Cassina), a Warren Platner center table (Knoll), and an Angelo Lelli lamp in the living room.
This exclusive home perfectly demonstrates how historic charm, modern design, and carefully selected furniture can create a timeless and personalized space. If you're seeking inspiration or tailored furniture to transform your interiors, we invite you to explore our catalogue and contact us for more information.
