Buff Monster
American, 1979
Buff Monster (born 1979 in Hawaii) is a New York–based street and contemporary artist known for his playful, candy-colored world of melting, one-eyed characters. With bold use of pink, thick black outlines, and vibrant visual energy, his work combines influences from graffiti, heavy metal, Japanese pop culture, and ice cream.
He began his artistic journey in Los Angeles in the late 1990s, where he gained recognition by wheat-pasting thousands of hand-silkscreened posters across the city. After relocating to New York, his style evolved into a recognizable brand that now appears in galleries, public murals, and major commercial collaborations.
Buff Monster has exhibited internationally in cities including London, Berlin, Zurich, and Tokyo, and has participated in both solo shows and group exhibitions. His creations span murals, prints, trading cards, resin toys, and designer collectibles, all produced under his brand “Stay Melty.”
A multidisciplinary artist with a strong presence in both fine art and pop culture, Buff Monster continues to redefine urban art through joy, surrealism, and signature visual storytelling.
