Charles Yuen

Charles Yuen (1945-2018) was a Chinese-American artist known for his abstract paintings and mixed media works. He was born in New York City and studied at the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League of New York.
 
Yuen's paintings were characterized by their bold colors, expressive brushstrokes, and layered textures. He often incorporated unconventional materials, such as gold leaf, tar, and glitter, into his works to create a sense of depth and luminosity.
 
Throughout his career, Yuen was the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States and abroad, and is held in many public and private collections.
