David Yarrow

David Yarrow is a British fine-art photographer, born in Glasgow in 1966. He began his career as a photojournalist in the 1980s, covering major news events and conflicts around the world, including the Gulf War and the fall of the Berlin Wall. However, he soon transitioned to wildlife and landscape photography, using his experiences in photojournalism to capture powerful and evocative images.
 
Yarrow's work is characterized by his use of dramatic lighting, high contrast, and rich textures. He often photographs his subjects up close, creating intimate and immersive images. He is particularly well known for his images of wildlife, which he captures in their natural habitats around the world. His photographs often convey a sense of awe and reverence for the natural world, as well as a deep respect for the animals he photographs.
 
Yarrow has exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the world, including in London, Paris, and New York. His photographs have been featured in major publications such as National Geographic and The Sunday Times, and he has published several books of his work. He is also a dedicated conservationist, and donates a portion of his profits to wildlife and environmental organizations.
