Emile Pinedo

French, 1840 - 1916
Emile Pinedo was a French sculptor who was born in 1840 and died in 1916. He was known for his bronze sculptures and was active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Pinedo trained in the atelier of the famous French sculptor Auguste Dumont, who was known for his classical style. Pinedo's early works were also in a classical style, but he later shifted to a more naturalistic and realistic approach.

Pinedo exhibited his work regularly at the Paris Salon, one of the most important art exhibitions in Europe at the time. He won several awards for his work, including a gold medal at the Paris Salon of 1878.

Pinedo's sculptures were highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts in his time, and his work is still highly regarded today. His sculptures can be found in museums and private collections around the world, including the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
