Esperia
Italian
Esperia Lighting is a Tuscan lighting atelier founded in 1952 in Poggibonsi, Siena, by Romano Conforti, Eugenio Cortigiano, and Mario Moni. Initially crafting bathroom fixtures, the company soon expanded into high-end decorative lighting under the artistic influence of Angelo Brotto. By the 1960s, Esperia was regularly exhibiting at Milan’s Salone del Mobile and collaborating with prestigious glassmakers like Venini.
Driven by its core values—design, material, art, and innovation—Esperia’s in-house style center produces handcrafted lamps using fine materials including brass, Colle Val d’Elsa crystal, Murano glass, leather, and aluminum. Each piece is finished by skilled artisans using techniques like gold or silver leaf, satin finishing, and hand burnishing—blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Led today by the founders’ descendants, Esperia continues to honor its legacy while innovating dynamic lighting sculptures like the “Eirene” series, offering bespoke creations for retail and contract settings.
