Felix Agostini

Felix Agostini (1910-1980) was a Belgian sculptor and medalist who was active in the mid-20th century. He was known for his figurative sculptures and medals, which often depicted historical and mythological subjects.
Agostini studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and later became a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He was a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Fine Arts of Belgium and was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Leopold, one of Belgium's highest honors.
Agostini's sculptures and medals were characterized by their finely detailed surfaces and their sense of movement and expression. His work often depicted classical subjects, such as athletes, gods and goddesses, and heroes of myth and legend.
