Kleppe Møbelfabrikk
Norwegian
Kleppe Furniture Factory traces its origins back to 1929 when Jakob Kleppe established the company. Beginning with a modest 60-square-meter workshop, Jakob's dedication to quality craftsmanship quickly expanded operations to 115 square meters. Initially focusing on crafting dining room and bedroom furniture, the production process relied solely on manual labor with Jakob and a single employee at the helm.
Despite challenging economic conditions, Jakob Kleppe's commitment to excellence propelled the business forward, leading to steady sales growth. By 1947, the company inaugurated a new 600-square-meter factory, equipped with modern production techniques while maintaining an unwavering focus on quality and innovative design.
Over time, the company transitioned its production to specialize in small furniture items. One notable achievement was the licensing of the patented Kleppe table, renowned for its dual functionality as a dining and coffee table. This marked a pivotal shift for the company towards becoming a leading specialist in coffee tables, prompting several expansion endeavors.
In 1957, Kleppe Furniture Factory ventured into international markets, exporting its renowned furniture pieces to the USA and England. Since then, the company has adapted to evolving market demands while remaining dedicated to its legacy of craftsmanship and design excellence.
