Michael Andersen & Sons is a renowned Danish pottery studio established in the late 19th century in Rønne, Bornholm, known as the "Danish Potter's Isle." Founded by Jens Michael Andersen, the studio gained international acclaim for its distinctive ceramic works. In 1930, the company introduced the innovative "Persia" glazing technique, which earned widespread recognition. Under the artistic direction of Marianne Starck in the 1950s and 1960s, the studio produced sculptural pottery and lighting that became emblematic of Scandinavian Modern design.
Today, Michael Andersen & Sons' vintage pieces, including lamps, vases, and decorative objects, are celebrated for their craftsmanship and artistic flair. Their works are prized by collectors and featured in galleries worldwide.
