Sergio Asti

Sergio Asti (born 1926) is an Italian industrial designer and architect. He studied at the Politecnico di Milano and graduated in 1953. Asti has worked with a number of notable design firms throughout his career, including Kartell, Arredoluce, and Martinelli Luce. He is known for his minimalist and functional designs, often incorporating plastic and other new materials. Some of his most famous designs include the Jolly table for Kartell and the Cobra table lamp for Martinelli Luce. Asti has won several awards for his work, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1964 and 1979.
