Teppei Ikehila
Japanese, 1978
Teppei Ikehila (born 1978 in Fukuoka, Japan) is a contemporary Japanese artist based in Tokyo. He graduated from Shimane University in 2001 and has held numerous solo exhibitions across Japan, including at the Shimane Art Museum and Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery. Ikehila’s work has been recognized through awards and exhibitions such as the Taro Okamoto Award for Contemporary Art and the VOCA Exhibition at the Ueno Royal Museum. He has also participated in international art fairs in New York and Miami. In addition to painting, he is active in workshops, public art projects, and education. His artistic style blends vivid colors with motifs of animals, plants, and human figures, creating dreamlike, magical realist landscapes.
