Description
1 Volume. Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. Signed Limited Edition. Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in full wine Morocco with the cover displaying a scene of people greeting at a door in multi-colored inlay and a floral gilt-tooled border. The spines display raised bands, panel details, bordering, and label lettering, all gilt-tooled. All of the edges are gilded with gilt-tooled borders on the turn-ins, watered silk doublures, and endpapers. This edition is limited to 525 copies of which 500, numbered 1-500 are for sale in Great Britain, Ireland, and Colonies; and 25, numbered 501-525 are for presentation, this being no. 340. Illustrated with mounted tipped-in tissue color plates illustrated by Arthur Rackham. Published by William Heinemann in London and J.B. Lippincott Co. in Philadelphia, 1915. Housed in a linen slipcase.
