Description A Napoleon III period gilt bronze encased Second Empire mantle clock. The Roman coin-like plaque on its top urn and the Egyptian masque at its plinth, harken back to the Ancient Roman Empire. Its movement plate inscribed "H & F Paris" serial # 1902. (A serial number, not a date) Its strike has a very pleasing soft tone.
