Description
An elegant mid-20th-Century globe-form desk clock and weather station by Tiffany & Co., dating to circa 1960. Combining functional timekeeping with a sculptural, globe-shaped design, this refined desk accessory reflects the understated sophistication and quality craftsmanship associated with Tiffany's decorative objects of the period.
The spherical form is supported by a circular base and features a contrasting gilt and silver-tone bronze finish, lending depth and visual interest to its polished metal surfaces. The rounded silhouette and balanced proportions give the piece a distinctive presence, making it an attractive addition to a desk, library, study, or executive office. The clock dial is signed Tiffany & Co. and marked Swiss Made beneath the dial, reflecting its Swiss-made timekeeping mechanism. The combination of the globe-inspired form, contrasting metallic finishes, and compact architectural base makes this piece both a practical desk accessory and a decorative object of enduring appeal.
Measuring approximately 7¼ inches high and 6 inches in diameter, with a base measuring 3.3 inches in diameter, this Tiffany & Co. clock and weather station is well suited to a desktop, bookshelf, or bedside table, and would make a distinguished addition to a collection of mid-century luxury accessories. In good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. -
