Description
This pair of wood carving was used originally to decorate the roof of a building in Northern Thailand. They were carved in the lovely silhouette of Hong bird. Hong is a mythical bird of infinite grace. As an auspicious creature, it symbolizes miracles and was widely used as a motif in royal architectural designs in Southeast Asia.
