Description George Loeb, Full-scale Marblehead Pond model (circa 1920-25) plus eight (8) scaled “marbleheads.”

The scaled models are whimsically named “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” They are simply wonderful. They were built by George Loeb in Hempstead, Long Island. They are all hand built. Mr. Loeb was obviously a machinist in addition to being a woodworker. The fittings are all made to scale. Note the Braine steering gears on each boat down to the smallest. Also note that they are all hung on “davits.” There are tiny differences in each model in the rigging, but basically they are identical. It is obvious that the larger ones were actually sailed. Not sure about the smaller ones.

Size of the largest (marblehead) - 50”. Size of the smallest - 8”. To be sold as a set.
