18th Century Continental Terracotta Egyptian Revival Sphinxes, a Matched Pair

Offered for sale is a rare matched pair of Continental 18th century terracotta Egyptian Revival sphinxes with poly-chromed decoration. The pieces are a mirror imaged pair with left and right turned heads and tails. These figures are truly spectacular with the sphinxes' head-dresses, mermaid tails and webbed feet.
