Description
Combining the forms of traditional ironwork with graceful lines inspired by Art Nouveau, this vintage set of fireplace accessories offers a covetable home accent. Made in France in the 20th century, the central pole is embellished with an elegant wrought iron basket; a shovel, tongs and a pair of pokers hang from the arms which extend above. The asymmetric, sinuous forms of the arms evoke the natural lines of branches and vines. The tips of the arms and the clamps of the tongs are fashioned into leaf-like shapes, accentuating the verdant character of this attractive piece.
