20th Century Saint-Louis French Crystal Figure of a Pan Playing the Panpipes

An elegant French crystal figurine by Saint-Louis, the renowned French crystal manufacturer celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship and refined decorative glassware. The sculpture depicts Pan, the ancient Greek god of nature, shepherds, and rustic music, traditionally associated with the panpipes. The figure is portrayed wearing a flowing robe and a broad, rounded hat, holding the panpipes vertically in front of his body. The carefully modeled form features delicate sculptural detailing, while the clear crystal construction beautifully captures and reflects the light. The faceted crystal base provides a substantial foundation and enhances the brilliance of this finely crafted decorative piece.

The combination of transparent crystal, intricate detailing, and classical mythological subject lends the figurine a distinctive character, making it an appealing addition to a collection of fine French crystal or mythological sculptures. The underside is stamped by Saint-Louis, confirming its maker. Measuring 7.5 inches high with a base approximately 2.25 inches in diameter, this refined figurine is well suited for display on a desk, bookshelf, mantel, or within a collection of fine French crystal objects. It is in good condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use.
