Airplane Display Model Aviation Salesman Sample Italy 1935 World Speed Record

This is a 1935 factory display model of an Italian Breda 88 Lince ground attack aircraft used by Italian Regia Aeronautica. The model was most likely made for presentation. It is made to scale with exacting precision to detail. The model is nickel plated steel & has every aspect of the real airplane including retractable landing gear. The condition is exceptional considering the fragility of this Museum quality model . The wingspan is 24" (60 cm) there are a couple of minor dents & age marks to the plating, mainly on the bottom of the model. Model needs professional polishing.
The Breda 88 was designed by Antonio Parano and Giuseppe Panzeri. It was a two crew, all-metal, low-wing cantilever monoplane with aft-retracting main undercarriage. These models were built with a compartment at the rear of the cockpit to be fitted later with a machine gun or a reconnaissance observer. It broke a number of World Air Speed records during it's service. Production ceased in 1940 after149 aircraft were built by Ernesto Breda.
