    A novelty pair of salt and peppers in the form of dice created by the modernist Mexican silversmith artist Antonio Pineda ( 1919-2000) circa 1953. Antonio Pineda is credited as the Mexican Modernist Artist in Silver. He apprenticed under William Spratling and after eight years opened his own atelier. He won international acclaim when he exhibited alongside Margaret de Patta and George Jensen in the the 1946 at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.
