Of all the Mining done by the Romans Two Thousand Years Ago this particular Rare Mineral is the Most Beautiful ( not to forget quite brittle ).

Derbyshire Spa - Blue John is a Semi-Precious Mineral with Bands of a Purple Blue or Yellow Colour. Only found at The Blue John Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern at Castleton in Derbyshire UK.
