Charles Hollis Jones Candle Holder Candelabra in Brass & Lucite

$ 1,400
  • Description
    Charles Hollis Jones’ aesthetic is immediately recognizable amongst those in search of iconic pieces of design. Jones understood how to create with substance while primarily using the airiest of materials: lucite. The motif is very much his signature, one that remains an inspiration to this day in the world of contemporary design. Though with this candle holder we have his own work, a delightful marriage of clear lucite with polished brass hardware; a combination so well done in a way only Jones’ could do.

    This candle holder is an assemblage of countless parts, expertly fastened, resulting in a single piece of rigid heavyweight design. Seven polished clear lucite blocks are evenly spread with polished brass spacers and finished with two brass finials on each side. Atop each lucite block are cast brass candle holders which are also polished, a gorgeous complement to their lucite bases. All together we have a stunning piece of Charles Hollis Jones design exhibiting rich signs of patina from years of enjoyment and appreciation.

Message from Seller:

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
