Description
Collection of six glass multicoloured paperweights
French, 20th Century
Largest: Height 11cm, diameter 8cm
Smallest: Height 5cm, diameter 7cm
These glass paperweights are wonderful decorative pieces which will make perfect desk accessories or collectables.
The paperweights are all slightly different in their shape and design. The set includes one which is teardrop-shaped and faceted, one which is oval, and several which are spherical (albeit not identical). The weights contain multicoloured millefiori—which is Italian for ‘thousands’ of tiny ‘flowers’—stylised plant-like forms, abstract and representational shapes. The latter refers to the paperweight which simulates a peacock, with a majestic red and green train. - More Information
