Rare St. Louis Art Deco Vase French 1925
This exquisite, exceptionally large Art Deco vase, signed by Cristaux St. Louis D'Art in France circa 1925, embodies the height of refined design and craftsmanship. Its gently tapered conical body, rounded shoulders, and recessed neck lead to a circular mouth, all meticulously crafted in frosted and green glass. The interplay between these elements is striking—stylized cubist foliate etchings embellish the green glass, while the frosted segments remain sleek and geometric, creating a harmonious balance between ornamentation and pure form. The piece exudes the bold yet sophisticated aesthetic that defined the Art Deco movement, making it a rare and collectible treasure.
Beyond its function as a vase, this piece stands as an objet d'art, destined to bring an air of luxury to any setting. Whether displayed with flowers or as a standalone statement piece, its presence commands attention. St. Louis, the oldest glass manufacturer in France with origins dating to 1586, became the first continental European producer of crystal glass in 1781, solidifying its legacy of excellence. This vase, in excellent vintage condition, is a stunning representation of that heritage—signed, impeccably crafted, and an essential acquisition for collectors of fine Art Deco glass. - More Information
