Concept Car Arrow Plane Toy Model Japan 1932

Price Upon Request
  • Description
A toy model of the Arrow Plane concept car designed in 1932. Lyman Voelpaz of Chicago originally commissioned this car, there was a series of six built by Hill Auto Metal Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Arrow Plane Car has a rear mounted four cylinder Ford engine with a Miller overhead value conversion, powered through the front wheels. The tear drop streamlined design was very advanced & aerodynamic, it was very fast for the period. This model was made as a toy in Japan in 1932, constructed of painted & chromed tin & has a wind up clockwork motor. A realistic interpretation of the real car & very rare. The condition is very good considering it's age, there is some paint loss & light rust to some of the chrome plated parts. One Arrow Plane car still remains today & is on display in Mesa, Arizona.
