Description
A Trench Art display model of a World War Two Navy deck gun. Trench Art decorative objects are made by soldiers or civilians from metal scraps from waste war materials. This gun is made from Brass & Aluminum on an intricate Mahogany wood base. The barrel can be raised & lowered & swiveled by turning each of the two crank handles. Included are miniature models of the shells that this gun would fire. This is a substantial model, excellent workmanship. No damages other than age patina. Loading door opens a little too easily when the barrel is raised, not a damage, due to wear over time. Otherwise gun is in perfect condition. Unique decoration for the office desk or man cave.
