Description
Cotta mirror by Decio Studio made at alfa.brussels for Everyday Gallery, unique piece, 2019. The piece belongs to categories: collectible design, functional art & art furniture.
Decio (IT) shows ‘Cotta’, his unseen and undiscovered body of work. Decio studio’s idea is to create a corner of a fantastic reality, an atmosphere both alien and familiar. Think of a surreal place where organic, sci-fi and industrial will mix. Like architectural spaces with a timeless feeling where neutral colors and natural textures meet with mysterious and welcoming shapes. A new-era nature both earthy and rational comes to life.
A highly-architectonic corner of a fantastic reality. an interesting atmosphere, an exaggerated perspective… A surreal place where different height floors are linked by various ladders and steps. Sometimes doors take you to imaginary next-door places, sometimes ladders take out of the ceiling. The eclectic space mixes organic, brutalist, industrial… The set is detailed and rich, yet toned-down by neutral color and texture (concrete or fiberglass texture) It’s a great multilevel background for furniture displaying. Light-box windows and spotlights help emphasize the different spaces and create a sense of mystery/curiosity. -
