Description
Glazed ceramic bust by Eric Ledoux. Born in Paris in 1946. Studied at Academy “Grande Chaumière” (drawing and composition). In 1968 he lead his own print workshop for the textile industry. During this time he worked with Pierre Cardin and Pierre Balmain. In 1968 he made his first trip to México to visit his uncle, renowned fashion designer Henri de Chatillon which would greatly impact his life. In 1989 Eric Ledoux along with his and his wife with his wife and his son permanently established their residence in México. His fascination with the colors, culture, and people are of constant inspiration often implementing bisque ceramics, and other found materials (palms) as his canvas. He continues to live and create in Mexico.
