Venini Braided Diamante Table Lamp, Model 9034, Italy, c. 1940
A rare and elegant mid-century table lamp by Paolo Venini for Venini, featuring a hand-blown glass body in a distinctive braided diamante technique with tiny gold speckles throughout base. The sculptural form showcases Venini’s mastery of Murano glass artistry, complemented by a refined brass base.
The lamp is equipped with a double cluster pull-chain switch for convenient operation and retains its original linen shade, adding to its authenticity and charm.
Documented in Venini: Catalogue Raisonné 1921–1986 by Marino Barovier and Carla Sonego (see p. 286), illustrating this intricate glassmaking technique.
