Description
Rare large sculptural colored crystal vase designed by Ettore Sottsass for Fontana Arte, Italy, circa 1970. This striking architectural composition features a dark blue square crystal cylinder flanked by attached brown triangular and caramel semi-circular elements, all resting on a rectangular dark blue base. Bold geometric forms, contrasting colors, and crisp graphic lines exemplify Sottsass's visionary approach to modernist design, transforming a functional object into a sculptural work of art.
With its commanding scale and architectural presence, this exceptional vase embodies the innovative aesthetic that defined Sottsass's work during the 1970s. Equally captivating displayed with flowers or as a standalone sculpture, it is a rare statement piece that brings sophistication, color, and sculptural drama to any interior. -
