Set of five brass boxes by Ferdinando Loffredo, Italy, 1971
-
Description
Set of five cylindrical brass boxes by Ferdinando Loffredo.
The boxes, signed on the bottom, are simple cylinders in unvitrified brass, with a light groove decoration. The cylinders are of two different sizes: a taller one, which measures 16 cm in height and 6 cm in diameter, a wider one, which measures 12 cm in height and 10 cm in diameter.
The boxes, which were also used by Loffredo as a container for a table clock, that was designed in the same period, are in excellent condition: the brass, not being vitrified, tends slightly to oxidize, with a beautiful, warm surface patina. -
