Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte Murano Glass Vase, 1940

$ 1,500
  • Description
    Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was a glass designer based in Venice, Italy. Poli joined the Seguso Vetri d'Arte company in 1934 as a design consultant. During his time at the company he worked with both Angelo and Archimede Seguso. During Poli's collaboration with Seguso, the company exhibited pieces at the 1935 Brussels Universal Exhibition, the 1936 Milan Triennale, and the 1937 Paris Universal Exposition. Some of its most impressive works, however, date back to the fifties. Recently, Poli's work was exhibited in a Seguso Vetri d'Arte exhibition at the Design Museum in Gand.
    Elegant Murano glass bucket-shaped vase designed by Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso Vetri d'Arte in the 1940s. Characterized by its refined form and exceptional glassmaking quality, this piece exemplifies the sophistication of mid-century Italian design and Murano craftsmanship.
    In very good condition and fully original.
