A large and decorative wall-mounted Riviera Style coat & hat rack with five hooks from the 1960s. Designed by Italian designers Franca Helg & Franco Albini for Vittorio Bonacina, Italy. Handmade of bamboo and rattan. A timeless midcentury design classic in very good condition. Measurements: width 49“, height 18“, depth 9“
Franco Albini and Franca Helg were influential Italian architects and furniture designers known for their minimalist and functional design approach. They created iconic pieces for top Italian brands such as Cassina, Poggi, Arflex, Bonacina 1889, and Brionvega. Famous for their rattan furniture like the Margherita Chair, they also contributed to projects like the Milan Metro. Their work blends traditional craftsmanship with modern industrial design, and their timeless creations are featured in leading museums, design collections, and interior design projects worldwide.
Bonacina 1889 (also known as Vittorio Bonacina) is an Italian furniture brand renowned for handcrafted rattan and woven designs. Founded in 1889, it has collaborated with iconic designers such as Franco Albini, Franca Helg, Gio Ponti, Lio Carminati, Marco Zanuso, Joe Colombo, and Tito Agnoli, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. -
