Italian Art Deco Ribbed Copper and Brass Vase, circa 1930

Offered by: Babou New York

Description
Italian Art Deco Ribbed Copper and Brass Vase, circa 1930

A striking Italian Art Deco vase defined by its bold, sculptural geometry and rich tactile presence. Hand-formed with a pronounced ovoid body, the vase features continuous horizontal ribbed ridging along its exterior, creating a dynamic rhythm of light and shadow across its surface. Crafted in copper with a warm, dark patinated finish, the piece is crowned by a smooth, inset brass collar rim that offers a refined contrast in metal tone and texture. Showing subtle verdigris accents and authentic wear consistent with age, this tactile vessel captures the sophisticated aesthetic of 1930's European metalwork.
