Description
This exquisite early 20th-century Italian Orientalist bronze sculpture, "Falconiere A Cavallo", by the renowned sculptor Ferdinando de Luca, masterfully captures the elegance and nobility of a falconer on horseback.
Depicting a regal horseman in traditional flowing robes, the falconer holds his falcon aloft, symbolizing power, skill, and the aristocratic tradition of falconry. The horse, sculpted in a dynamic stance, exudes movement and strength, its meticulously detailed musculature and finely cast harness reflecting De Luca’s exceptional craftsmanship.
Resting on a richly veined marble base, the sculpture gains an added sense of grandeur and refinement. The contrasting textures of the smooth marble and the deep patination of the bronze enhance its visual depth and presence, making it an extraordinary statement piece.
Signed by the artist and in excellent condition, this rare and collectible work of art embodies the spirit of the Orientalist movement, which celebrated the mystique and traditions of the East. Perfect for distinguished interiors, fine art collections, or as a striking focal point in any space, this sculpture is a testament to timeless elegance and masterful craftsmanship. - More Information
