    On offer for your consideration we have a wonderful sculpture of a Giraffe as a door stop.
    This very unusual piece was designed by Karl Hagenauer (1898-1956) made in Austria in 1925. This whimsical Giraffe door stop originally was acquired by me and my business partner Fred Silberman around 1978. At that time when we got this piece he said that very few of these pieces were ever made and that his brother Karl Hagenauer designed it in 1925 along with quite a few wonderful figures, a true rarity.
