Description
A large, neighing cast iron horse’s head, with pricked ears, a full mane, and flared nostrils, its neck decorated with oak leaves and acorns.
Probably an old butcher’s shop sign or a stud farm entrance decoration.
This piece dates from the second half of the 19th century and likely comes from the Val d’Osne foundry. -
