Description
Li Puma Florence Mid Century 'Trompe-l'oeil' Umbrella Stand, Italy, 1960s.
This is a remarkable 'Trompe-l'oeil' style Italian umbrella stand in gold painted metal, made by Li Puma Florence in the middle of the 20th century.
A fun and chique piece of decoration which is practical at the same time. This wonderful umbrella stand has an intellectual 'Trompe-l'oeil' style with rope and tessels which look very real, but are made out of metal in reality. The gold painted surfaces - which gained a great patination over time - give it a rich and luxurious appearance. A tongue in cheek piece, which adds a touch or whit and fun to your interior.
Comes in good vintage condition with wear and a desirable patination.
