Description
Wall-mounted Mid-Century coat hanger, model Gronda, designed by Luciano Bertoncini for Elco, Italy, 1970.
Composed of five modular elements, the coat hanger features walnut wood fronts with ABS resin backs. The upper section of each module is seamlessly integrated into the form and, when pressed inward, functions as a hook for hanging garments. This discreet push mechanism exemplifies Bertoncini’s rational and user-oriented approach, combining clean geometry, material contrast, and functional ingenuity. Hallmarks of Mid-Century Italian design. -
