    Superbly carved and beautifull glazed, this stylized figure of Eve, sensuously encircled by and mounting a powerful serpent, was sculpted by Marcel Merignargues. Merignarues was a French artist who's work explored the theme of Eve and the Serpent on more than one occasion. A large scale Eve and Serpent of Merignarues's, circa 1936, can be found in the La Piscine Museum of Art and Industry in Roubaix, France. Available to you exclusively at Showrooms2220, this piece is marked "Made in France" and includes the sculptor's signature on the bottom as well as an "MM" monogram on the face of the piece.
