Michael Elkan large burl wood studio crafted jewelry or trinket box. Item features artist-signature to underside, beautiful wood grain, quality craftsmanship, great style and form. Michael Elkan work is highly regarded by craftsmen and collectors alike he has been collected by George Nakashima. George Nakashima would keep some of Michael Elkan's trinket wood boxes in his studio starting in 1980 and sell them to the public.
