Description
During the 1970's John Gallagher of Venice, California would hunt down scrap metal machine parts & create realistic looking motorcycle sculptures. This is one of very few that have survived until today. This sculpture represents a racing motorcycle with a sidecar. Made from many different types of machine & tool parts elaborately connected together. It has a drive chain, rubber tires, etc. & even a leather seat, incredible detail. John claimed that there are 300 hours of work in each sculpture. This is a substantial model, measuring 16" long x 10" wide x 5" high. It is all original except for the windshield, this was held on by a small pair of brackets & over the years it fell off & was lost. We very carefully created a substitute which we think compliments John's work. This is a fantastic decorative work for the man cave or office desk.
