Ceramic vase realized between 1950 and 1953 by Ceramiche San Polo, Venice Italy. The vase is signed and numbered. The glazed surface shows a typical graphic decoration motive of the 1950s in black against a coloured background.
Ceramiche San Polo was founded 1947 on Calle Pezzana, next to Campo San Polo in the center of Venice by Riccardo Mason who hired artisans from Tuscany to realize decorative vases, lamps and small furniture, far from the "industrial" production of the only other manufacturer which was operating in town at the time. Ceramiche San Polo was sold at the end of the 1950s, changing its name and stopped the production in 1972.
