Description
This pair of mid-century amorphic tree-form candelabra, signed Schneider, showcases the elevated artistry and innovation of French design circa 1950. Uniting organic inspiration with refined craftsmanship, each candelabrum features a tree-like silhouette sculpted in crystal and brass. The amorphic crystal bases exude fluidity and grace, resembling twisting tree trunks or flowing branches, while the brass arms extend outward like delicate branches, creating a harmonious interplay of materials and forms.
The transparency of the crystal catches and refracts light, imbuing the candelabra with an almost ethereal glow, while the warm brass accents anchor the pieces in elegance and functionality. The biomorphic design reflects the mid-century fascination with nature-inspired, freeform shapes and the blending of art with practicality.
Signed by Schneider, a prominent French glassmaker renowned for their mastery of modernist forms, these candelabra represent a remarkable fusion of sculptural beauty and functional design. Perfect as a centerpiece or displayed on a mantel, they add a touch of sophisticated mid-century charm to any interior.
This pair is not only a testament to Schneider's legacy but also a celebration of the organic modern aesthetic, seamlessly merging natural inspiration with timeless elegance. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
