Modern sterling silver fish-themed cigarette case. Made by Thomae Co. in Attleboro, Mass., ca 1930. Rectangular and hinged. On cover enameled scene with rippling ocean waves. In foreground, a swordfish with blue dorsal fin and pointy elongated mouth leaps free in the water, ignoring the fishing trawler with tentacular masts that appears just above the horizon. Fully marked including maker’s stamp. Good condition. Minor abrasion to the fin. Gilt interior.
