Description
Black glazed porcelain ceramic sculpture by Tim Orr (signed: Tim Orr, Brissac under the base).
Born in 1940 in England, Tim Orr moved in 1960 to the village of Biot in the South France ( well known for its glassware and ceramics), where he worked porcelain with his wife Jacqueline. At the same time, he tought clay sculpture. In architectural ceramics, he created large wall panels for the port of Cavalaire, large sculptures for the Lapeyronie hospital in Montpellier, large pieces for public spaces and orders from private collectors.
Leaving the Côte d'Azur for the Hérault, the couple settled in Brissac, where Orr concentrated his research on the color of enamel on porcelain at high temperature. -
